DO NOT BUY!

I would not buy this product (PVM1790 Microwave and Convection Oven). We purchased it in Sept 2013 and had to replace a switch one year and then another switch and the motherboard went out the next year. Put a lot of money into first repair and then getting the second diagnostic done. Very disappointed.

Same problems as everyone else

Ours actually lasted nine years - but not without issues. Door handle - all the "stainless steel" peeled off and looks awful. I had to have the door fixed once over the years b/c it was crooked and caused the microwave to not work. Now, the microwave doesn't work again - door is back to being off line, so it could be that issue again. Given it's nine years old, not bothering to fix it and will get a new microwave. I guess I got my money out of it, but given the poor quality along the way, I wouldn't recommend this model to anyone.

Broke after 15 months of use

The unit was very attractive, but after 15 months of use, the control panel starting shorting out. After 4 attempts to repair, it was useless and out of extended warranty!

They put a plastic microwave handle over the a tri burner which emits a lot of heat a waste of money do not purchase

Ugh! Only 3.5 years before major malfunction

Only lasted 3 1/2 years before what sounded like something coming appart inside upper right side. Of course outside of warranty, and from the sounds of it I'll spend as much as a new one to fix old one. I see why our landfills are filling up so fast now!

Cheap Material on the Handle

We purchased this microwave a couple of years ago and the material on the handle is peeling. Obviously not real stainless steel used to make the handle, since underneath we are now seeing white plastic. It was the only stainless steel model available at the time with convection. I am very disappointed that the finish would wear so quickly.

Not what you thought

I have had my microwave since march 2015.
The handle broke off in 2017 and I do not use the convection oven because it takes 20 -30 mins to heat up. It's not vey cost efficient. There is an easy one press button that is "reheat" and you can heat a plate or cups or noodles, but it always over heats what ever your cooking so it is not accurate at all. But it will cook your popcorn or potatoes to perfection.
On the upside the display is user friendly easy
to use.
I see my microwave was made in Korea
