Enjoying the dryer

This dryer is nice with the extra cycling in case I can't get to the dryer right away with things I don't want to worry about wrinkling.

I was disappointed in this product, as it replaced a whirlpool dryer that was too noisy due to a squeaky drum. This dryer has the lint filter on the top, so it is messy when you clean it; wish I had focused on that before buying it. Also, the sensor does not work well for drying; it seems the laundry is always very damp after using the "very dry" sensor setting. The sound level is acceptable.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My old dryer was 34 years old and was really on its last leg. I had no idea what I was missing out on. This one dries so much faster and is so much more quiet.

Dryer is so quiet

I cannot say anything bad about our whirlpool dryer. It is so quiet that I have to go down stairs to make sure it is running. It dries in less time than our old dryer. the price was fantastic and it did not have all the bells and whistles thank goodness. Had everything we need. Keep up the good work.

Hope this machine holds up. My fear is that it will only last a few years. Appliances used to last for many, many years. Planned or programmed obsolescence? I hope not

Replacement with improvements

Our twenty-two year old Whirlpool dryer control system broke, and replacement cost was half the cost of a new dryer, so we got a new one after evaluating other competing units at our huge major appliance dealer. The new Whirlpool controls are easy to use, with more choices than our prior one, the lint trap is more effective, the light inside the drum makes clothes easier to insert and remove, and drying run times are shorter, meaning it is more efficient than the old one. I recommend it highly.
