This is my 2nd Whirlpool dryer & it's great like the 1st. I really like the Wrinkle Shield feature!

The saving on water is amazing and the clothes are just as clean or cleaner. First time we used it we thought there was something wrong with the machine. It does not sound like the old washers did. Very happy with our purchase.

Simple manual controls

This dryer replaces a rather old dryer (22 year old Kenmore) that had simple manual controls but wasn't drying very well anymore. I also chose this model because it had a FLAT top and a door that came down, not one that opened to the side. The door coming down lets us pull some items out during the dry cycle as needed without them winding up on the floor! The slant on the top of the more expensive models will not let you store anything on the top, slides off - especially with vibration of the drier while running. This dryer is much quieter than our old model and will dry clothes MUCH quicker. I believe that with the manual controls it will last longer than the new electronic controls on the more expensive models. Thank You Whirlpool for making a Simple, Functional, Affordable drier that is sized right for a smaller household!

Just an average dryer

This dryer does what it is suppose to do, dries clothes. The 3 temperature settings are nice. I use AccuDry cycle more that the timed cycle. My biggest complaint about this dryer is it's supposed wrinkle shield once the actual drying is done. My old dryer buzzed when the drying was done, but continued to tumble just air and would buzz every few minutes to remind me, but never stopped tumbling until the dryer shut completely off. This dryer stops tumbling for about 10 minutes, then it tumbles the clothes for about 45 seconds, buzzes and stops for 10 minutes, tumbles again then stops. So to me this dryer doesn't have a wrinkle shield setting, it has a stop let the clothes get wrinkled then move them around for a little bit and stop again setting. So if are like me and can't always get to the dryer the minute it buzzes the first time, don't get this dryer your clothes with wrinkle.

I love my new dryer it is so quiet and it also takes half the drying time my old one used to take. I also like the fact it has an energy setting since everything else in my house is energy efficient.

Nice, basic dryer with Eco dry feature

I like the Eco dry feature. The dryer is a little noisy, but I have a laundry closet and the house isn't very big. "Very Dry" under the Eco feature is sufficient for heavy loads like sheets and towels. I love the door that opens down to give you folding space. I also like that the lint filter is on the top of the dryer and it has a long screen that pulls out for easy cleaning. Those in the door, small filters really don't do as great of a job collecting lint and preventing a fire. I'm looking forward to many years of use.
