I love my fridge. To be honest and transparent, it is very high quality. The looks, the lighting, the feel of it is amazing. It has more than enough space for a family of 4. It is really easy to clean and just by the way it looks you really will find the motivation to keep it spotless. The refrigeration is very consistent and better than expected. The water dispenser is quick and seamless. Now the only thing that I would say is not on par with the fridge is the ice maker. It really works great but for the luxury that this amazing machine has the ice maker can be better. 80% of the ice dispensing no matter if its crushed or cubed, it will come out crushed. I called Samsung to replace the ice maker and hands down impressive customer service. They knew immediately what I was talking about and replaced it at no cost because of the warranty, still have issue with ice maker and I really think it s the ice maker desing with no fix. Don't let it be a deal breaker because this fridge is awesome!!!
like the design but the icemaker has not worked properly since purchased. Have called support a few times, was advised to change the filter as well as reset the icemaker. I have done the reset every 2-4 weeks when it stops fuctioning and it would start up again. Now it does not function at all. I have had to buy bags of ice to supplement the malfunctioning icemaker
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great design, one flaw

Overall this is a good unit. The only flaw, which is kind of big, is that if you keep the water valve pressure turned to a normal level it makes a really loud jackhammer sound when the water is entering the unit. You have to basicaly turn down the water flowing into the unit to almost off which it turn causes it to take forever to get water out of it.
We are a family of 3. I the father use the majority of the ice . And now I have to purchase bagged ice . The ice maker is slow ! Did I say the ice maker is "SLOW" !!! This is a feature that is essential for any family. This model has a feature also that you can speed up the ice production . You turn it on and it only lasts so many hours then automatically returns back to its normal settings . This will increase ice production. But did I say the the ice maker is "SLOW" !! On the lack of ice I would not buy this refrigerator !!!!!!!! If I had known how slow the ice maker is . It would not be in my home (if I only knew). Samsung knew that this was an issue in the design phase. I ask you why is the feature to speed up ice production with in the electronics ? And if you are a big family ; buy stock in retail ice ! Putting aside the lack of ice Samsung did do a nice job of use of space within the refrigerator.
Pros: good use of space
Cons: Did not meet expectations, buy ice

Response from Samsung USBy Ms. Samsung, HQ, July 1, 2014
Hi WishIhadice,
The RSG307AARS/XAA is designed to produce up to 4.6 lbs of ice per day, and store up to 4.9 lbs. If yours is making less than this, I would suggest referring to the tips in the Troubleshooting Guide through this link: bit.ly/1jH2J93
While the Power Freeze option can help to speed up ice production, it's main purpose is to help the freezer return to the set temperature quickly if the doors have been left open; for example, when loading groceries after a shopping trip. This feature is designed to turn off automatically to help save energy once the set temperature has been reached.
I hope this helps in your quest for more ice! Ms. Samsung

I owned the fridge for aprox a year now and had a service call on it. I had to have the valves replaced luckily it was under warrantee. My last fride lasted 14yrs and only one service call. I do love the fridge it has a lot of space and the lighting is great the only downfall might be the craftsmanship and the ice maker is a bit slow and hard to put back in after you take it out.
Pros: Inexpensive, lighting, space, looks
Cons: ice maker, craftsmanship
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Worst Purchase Ever - Doors do not stay closed
on September 28, 2014

I'm thinking the positive reviews were written before honeymoon ended. As soon the warranty was up so were the good times with our refrigerator. First it was the ice maker. We have to lean on the door to coax any ice out. We try to never have to remove the ice bucket because it takes Herculean effort to get in back into place.
The doors have been the worse part. The refrigerator door started randomly popping open. Someone said the machine was just not level. We leveled it. Worked for a while - then both doors started popping open. Always fun to wake up to puddles in the kitchen because the freezer door popped open in the middle of the night. We had to start putting a board between the handles so keep them shut. We currently have to "lift" the freezer door in order to get it to stay shut at all. Apparently some little plastic piece broke on the bottom. We are waiting for a repairman to come out. Not looking forward to that bill.
I can stay that this purchase has made me wonder what all the excitement over stainless steel is. It is so hard to keep looking nice.
