I have an older, but new enough to have USB 3.0 ports, laptop. Disabling the internal WiFi adapter and using the AC56 moved my download speeds from 30 ish MbS to 110 ish MbS. A second one of these adapters gets great reception in my garage even with the router on the other side of two walls in my house.
I would recommend this to a friend!
