Because there is no pre-filter it collects midges and larger debris. I vacuum out between the folds. I think it's effective. I use the basic filter so awful odors take a while but I usually don't run it on high.

Clean fresh air

Yes, I love my units and honestly feel our air is fresher, smells better, and a quiet operating unit! Now have one in living area and bedroom and see a marked reduction in dust in our home!!!

The air purifier was given to us as a gift. I would recommend it. I would also try to find it at a discount along with the filters. The product has a nice design. It's also very quiet. The filter is easy to change as well.
