I have used Allen filters for 20 yrs. great products and service!The current filters smell like Charcoal, very obnoxious burnt smell. It is hard to sleep in the room.

I have 3 Alen filtration units. 2 of which are over 6 years old. They’re well worth their price, dramatically reducing air born dust, odors (cooking and dog) and pollen. Quiet, well made and trust worthy. Don’t expect that I’ll be replacing the units I have now for many years to come but when that time comes or if I determine I need an additional unit I most definitely will buy Alen again

I leave my machine running all the time in our bedroom. I know the filter is very efficient, since it shows a lot of dirty dust every time I change the filter.
