High Cost of Replacement Filters

I've been using my two Alen 375UV filter units for over 10 years. Great product and works as advertised. My only beef is the increasing cost of replacement filters. Please find a way to reduce your cost. Senior citizens, like myself, on a small fixed income from Social Security can barely get by in today's high cost of living. Yet as we grow older, we need the advantages provided by clean, filtered air. I realize profit is not a dirty word, but perhaps special price options for seniors should be considered.

Good, dependable product

Have owned two top of the line Alen filters for about 10 years. They are still performing well. We live in metro Denver and the last few years there have been many forest fires all over the west. Many days the year (2018) the mountains have been almost obscured by the smoke. The two filters make our indoor air very clean. My wife has moderate asthma and these filters are a literal life saver for her. My only wish for improvement would be to have a quieter fan. It is fine at the lowest speed, but the noise is a bother at higher speeds. We run them on lowest speed all the time and they keep the air clean doing that. Running at higher speed is needed initially to get the air clean.

Alen Odor Cell Replacement Filters

I bought two replacement filters to eliminate cigarette smoke & pet odors. I've only used them a few times and they work as advertised. My only complaint is the high cost of these filters. Living on a small fixed income, it's difficult to replace filters every six months as recommended. I'm sure there are many senior citizens who need their air filtrated, but struggle financially like me.

The Alen cleaning-air system is simply the best. The silver filters assist in cleaning the many particles that gather in our home office from the attraction by the computers and other electronic equipment and from our cat's litter box which is sheltered in one end of the room. Also, the filters are easy to remove and install. The system is quiet and efficient, and the timer for doing the refills is accurate. We are very happy with the system and the filters.
