Simple to use and effective.

I love my A375. I have birds and cats at home and this purifier does a great job at eliminating the dust and odors from my pets. I can rely on my Alen Air to keep my family clean and healthy air in our home.

I love my air purifier!

I love my air purifier! It is quiet and effectively keeps air flowing, without a large draft. I vacuum at least once a week (2 Dog household) and it is amazing how much dust and particles it collects from the air. How do I know? I have less dust on my furniture and I vacuum the filter once a week.

Works fine - with a little effort

This replacement filter works ok as long as you can get it to hit the switch correctly. It is not a tight fit so you have to place something under the filter to get it to sit correctly on the switch at the top or it won’t turn on. Took me a couple tries but it has not accidentally switched off yet even when gently moving unit to another room.

My old A375UV wouldn't turn on with this unless...

I had old A375UV sitting in my garage for a long time. I live in California and there was a wildfire in north, we are affected for the air quality for a while. So, I took this out, ordered new filter.
I appreciate Allen keeps making this old air purifier's filter available. But when it arrived, my machine didn't turn on. I put my old filter back in, and it turns on.
The problem is that - the rim of new filter replacement is sponge - not solid like old filter I had. Old filter had a solid hard plastic rim, so it was pushing the switch above right of the filter when it's inside so the electricity goes on in the circuit to turn it on. However, with the new filter with sponge rim, it is not pushing strong enough the switch inside.
So, I cut a cardboard in a rectangular shape to fit the bottom of the filter. Once I put the filter in, I inserted the cardboard to make it lift so it'll push the switch. After I did it, then it turns on. I did it just so I can use the machine. Though, since it is a high voltage machine, I wouldn't necessary recommend to do this way unless you have a good material that is not flammable.
I understand that they are hoping it'll catch the dust even better by having sponge rims so it will purify the air more. I would appreciate if Alen could provide a little insert or something that is inflammable. I thought to share this so if there are people had problem turning it on, there's a way to do it.

I like it, but it's really expensive. I have spent more on filters than I have on the air purifier.
