These filters do exactly for what they are intended.

The first washable first layer of the AHEPA silver filter blocks much more than the others. They last longer and are very cost affective.

It works great and helps reduce the dust, etc. substantially. The unit is quiet too. I had Blueair which did not work as great as this one.

I’ve had two Alen Breathesmart Air Purifiers for over four years now. I have asthma, COPD and dust allergies. The Alen Breathesmart Air Purifiers make breathing easier and my home a safer environment. Honestly, I’ve had fewer pulmonary events since I put these in. They were pricey but well worth it. They have significantly improved my quality of life. Less hospital stays!! I love them.

I like the filter but I believe you should note in your handbook that it may take up to 6 days for the filter life to turn green. This was very concerning for me and when I called the help line they told me it would take 2 days maybe. The manual doesn't mention that it will take days at all. The manual should be changed!

I have used the Alen air purifier for one year now. Rather than rave about performance, will say I have sold product to three other residence in this condominium by showing them the extraordinary results in my home.
