Product broke in less than 5 months

Within 5 months of purchase, the TV failed to work properly.
Half the screen, right side is snow white. Called Samsung support in Greenville, South Carolina and they verified the defect is inside the TV and issued a service call with the repair center.

The picture is great folks. But the remote user interface to use the internet is absolutely useless. I have given up. It's basically just a tv for my family. I feel I wasted a lot of money.
Bet this review won't get posted.
ps. It needs a mobile app to run on a tablet for a UI. The rest of the world is going this way. Remotes devices are on there way out. You would think Samsung would spring for this.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

great plasma - great picture - great black level performance - although am getting brightness pops on my D8000... working on getting new logic board firmware to fix via avsforum... that's why i gave 4stars under performance... would've gave it 4.5 but not an option...
Pros: Realistic color
Cons: brightness pops

I can not believe it that after TWO panel replacements, this piece STILL has bugs..The panel CLICKS... YES, CLICKS, with a clicking sound, intermitantly, CLICK..CLICK..CLICK.
Even while the display is turned OFF, it continues to click..AND while ON....Can even hear it through the audio...

simply put, you can be picky about this tv and still be overly satisfied. I did have a problem with the bezel cracking, but its covered under warranty. Everything else has been astonishing!
...and btw- you'll save tons of cash by buying it online ;)

I am using samsung 64' plasma 800 series now for more than a month now. I am quite happy with the product as it has a lot of new functionalities which are noit availble in other brands at this price and size. The use of Internet is little bit annoying as it is difficult to input the requests and addresses but overall its a good experience.
I bought the samsung keyboard to use with the TV but it is not of much use, most of the input you still have to do manualy using the on screen keys.
Over all I am enjoying the TV.
