I'm loving my new Pn59D8000 Samsung Plasma. Even more so that the AllShare app will play ANY video format that I download from the web including 3D SBS blue ray titles. Thanks for including all the great codecs!

I am truly amazed by this TV. The picture quality is incredible. I did a lot of research before ordering this TV and I couldn't be happier. I have had it for three weeks and I am still discovering new features. It plays so many formats directly from a USB stick and over my network almost don't need my HTPC. The apps work very well. I didn't think the 3D would be something I would use but I was wrong. Have watched several movies and sporting events and the 3D really added to the experience.
Pros: Bright display, Realistic color, features

bought this TV for my media room and i love it. The picture is fantastic, though it took a while to calibrate it. Also got it with a free 3d bluray, 2 pairs of glasses, and a couple of 3D movies. What a great value.

Everything I could want in a TV and more. The picture is beyond superb, the 3D is theater quality. Just WOW!
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Inexpensive, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, best 3d, easy to setup

I had a Samsung 720P plasma previously so I purchased this one without hesitation. It is amazing the amount of features that are now packed into this much slimmer and lighter set. It is everything I expected it to be in terms of video rendering - sharp detail with great color and contrast.
I really enjoy the ability to get software updates over the internet using the set's built-in WIFI capability.
Setup was a breeze and the menu system makes "tweaking" really easy as it will show you the effect of a change as you make the change.
The only negative that comes-to-mind is that there is a persistent low-frequency hum that emanates from the set whether it is in use or not. My reading is that Samsung says this is "normal". I can live with it but when my son watches the set at night with low volumes he says it is a significant distraction. For this reason I cannot recommend the product to anyone without first informing them of this "normal" buzzing.

Cons: constant buzzing
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Great TV, the picture quality of the plasma display is much better than an LCD one. Has enough inputs to accept all my gaming consoles and easy to flip between the inputs
