TV Broke After 5 Weeks!

I bought a 59 inch model 6500 Samsung plasma TV in November 2011. After only five weeks later, the TV stopped working, after only light use. The TV was caught in the endless cycle of clicking on and off, that plagued many of the 2007 & 2008 model Samsung plasma/LCD TVs (you can Google the Samsung power supply problems). The power on red light would blink twice after turning on, then it would click off, then back on, then click off, etc, repeatedly. Only way to end the cycle is to disconnect the electricity plug. The technician had to come to my home and replace the entire power supply board. No fuses were blown. I am submitting a more brief review as my earlier more descriptive review was rejected by Samsung. Obviously, very frustrating and disappointing.
Pros: Bright display, Lightweight
Cons: Did not meet expectations, power supply broke
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Made buzzing sound constantly

I ended up returning this tv because it buzzed when turned on.
Pros: Realistic color
Cons: Poor quality, buzzing sound

Amazing TV

This might actually be the first review I have ever given and I am 40 years old (partly because I am usually WAY too busy for this stuff and partly because I am lazy!). I had to write a quick review and say that so far this TV has been the best looking TV I have ever purchased! I have a total of 7 flat panel LCD/Plasma TV's in my home and have paid a pretty penny for most of them, but this one takes the cake (so far). The 3D is above and beyond what I expected. My wife was COMPLETELY against this purchase and now can't stop wanting to watch anything we can in 3D. We have 2 boys (8 & 9) who are also loving this purchase :) Overall, the picture quality is top notch. To some it may look dim (in the store I was a little taken aback at the dimness compared to the LED screens), but if you REALLY pay attention I noticed two enormous differences between the Plasma and LED. 1. If you pay close attention you will notice that the Plasma is dimmer, but the skin tones are much more natural and real looking. 2. If you like watching sports or anything else that flashes quickly on the screen you will notice the LED TV's pixelize ALOT. The refresh rate on the Plasma (600hz compared 240hz on the better/best LED's) can't be touched.
Pros: Durable, Realistic color, 3d quality
Cons: none that i have seen so far

I love this TV!

I am not new to Samsung! My last TV was also made by them. The product is very reliable, solid, and dependable, and that is just a little about why I like Samsung products. We bought this TV out of the blue, the Samsung we had was in perfect condition. We wanted a bigger screen and wanted to try out the new 3D Technology! Admittedly, it is still a little pricy, but a sound product. The TV has an excellent picture and the 3D features are astounding! I would recommend this product to anyone who wants to receive what they paid for. I just wish there were more 3D programs and movies to choose from, however this is no fault of Samsung! I hope my tv will not become obsolete before the move industry catches up with their technology. I would highly recommend this product to anyone.

Beautiful 2D and 3D Picture

This tv has an incredible image quality in both 2D and 3D modes. The new 3D technology actually exceeded my expectations and I can honestly say surpasses theater level 3D. I'm very happy with this purchase.

wonderful tv just wonderful ...i swaped out a 60 inch led for this ..side buy side it just blew the other led away glad i made the switch

Truely Amazing - Must Buy

First... This is my 3rd Samsung Television and my families 6th. I swear by Samsung and recommend Sansung to everyone I talk to for every electronic. I have their Charge cell phone, all my Blue-Ray players and DVD players. All Samsung products and nothing but in my house.
This NEW Plasma is incredible. The Plasma Plus 1, is amazing. Very slim bezel and amazingly slim profile (only 1.5")!!! Not what you would expect for a Plasma. They have really come a long way.
I spends Days and hours upon hours of research before I make an Investment like this. And I selected this TV for its size, appearance, weight, features, and amazing looks. So take my word, you cannot go wrong with this television.
Also price was excellent. and although LED is the new technology, I still stand behind Plasmas. A comparable LED would be nearly double the price of this set. Well worth it. Also Smart Hub is an amazing gift from Samsung to the public. Very easy to use and everything you could possibly want all at your fingertips. Also, this set has built in WiFi and is 3D capable.........................You MUST buy this TV!!!!!!!

Great Picture, Not so Great Audio

The picture is beautiful but you really need to connect it to a surround system because the internal speakers in this very, very thin TV is not sufficient. Imagine listening to old computer speakers.
Pros: Realistic color
Cons: poor audio
