I bought this to help me sleep. The one I like best is the brook. After a few minutes of the brook, there is a double pounding sound. It is very annoying instead of being soothing. I can't seem to see how I can email anyone about this.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The sound machine is well made, and works great. Most of all it is loud enough to be effective.

Was a gift 15 years ago and still works well. Volume/Power knob touchy but that's to be expected for it's age

So disappointed

I bought one of these for my newborn and it worked like a charm...for a few months. I love the simple design and size of this. But after just a few short months the volume is erratic and it won�۪t work at all unless the dial is turned way up. I bought a second one thinking it was maybe a fluke; nope, the second one is doing the same thing.

My wife purchased one of these units for use in her office about a year ago. She just recently purchased a unit from a different manufacturer. I asked why and she said it just stopped working and she cannot make it work. I have tested it and it seems it just won't power on at all, either plugged into the wall or with batteries. It is over a year old and off course is out of warranty! Don't waste your money.
