Works as expected. Scans in a reasonable time up to the 11x17 size. Prints with a good quality, great for a light duty office printer.

I have only had the printer a few weeks, but so far its doing really well! Ink usage seems normal, no paper jams, and it prints clearly (no lines or smudges). It is a little loud, but that doesn't bother me. The only thing I would fix is the tray that catches the paper is very flimsy. We'll see if I still like it in a year (I have had MANY bad experiences with printers, usually after they are a year old).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Quality and Performance

I have been using this printer now for about 1 month and so far I really like it. The ink usage seems to be very good as I do some heavy graphics printing. I think the biggest challenge was to learn how to use the printer setting to get the desired result. Scanning is very easy and quality is good, again after using the correct scanner settings. The paper output tray could be a little bigger because when printing ledger size items they just barely stay in the tray or are forced out on to the floor. Only process I have not figured out yet is how to print on perforated business card stock. Card data does not line up on card stock properly printing over the perforation. Just wondering if there is a way to set alignment?? Anybody?? I don't use the fax feature, not needed.
Overall, this is a well made printer with a lot of features including dual paper trays so you don't need to keep switching paper sizes back and forth, and the wireless feature works great.

This post is to say thank you to the employees responsible for writing the user's manuals for the Brother-MFC-J6720DW. Not only did they tell me how to resolve issues with my installation of the Brother printer, they even anticipated and told me how to solve problems with my computer operating system and firewall software. Fantastic job on writing these manuals.
