Disappointed beyond belief

Pro: cheap price
Con: almost no bass at all, I'm not sure if I got a defective pair, but the bass quality on these are extremely poor. You get what you pay for I suppose, but I would have expected more out of a pair of sony earbuds, even if they were $9.99.
In summary, very disappointed with my purchase, I would return these if I could but can't because of hygienic reasons.

Too Bad...I liked these at first

These headphones failed shortly after the 90 day warranty expired. I bought them based on my husband's enthusiastic "these will last you forever" recommendation, but alas, they did not. I'm terribly disappointed as I like the color, I like how they fit in my ears, and I like the sound quality, but now the left side doesn't work. Now, I'm hard on my stuff, but I've had them less than 6 months.
What's great about it: Decent sound, great color
What's not so great: Not durable
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good all around Earphones

I got these earphones just for average every day use like listening music on my phone, computer, and using it for movies and games from the PS3. The sound quality is the best for the price. Action movies sounded amazing, and playing BattleField 3 (War Game) has never been so frightning! I never expected so much from so little. It cancels off noise good. Every genre of music sounds good for these earphones. I had them for about 8 months now and they are holding up good, just a few scratches, and normal wear and tear. I have done a lot of abuse to these things, accidentally stepping on them, dropping it on carpet, in water, and snow, etc. Great Earphones!
What's great about it: price, quality, durability, color selection, sound
What's not so great: they dont fit perfectly in my ear
I would recommend this to a friend!

Great Earbuds....

Great earbuds...I've bought Sony's before and I was looking for a set for under $25.
There are quite a few brands that offer them under that price but when you look at the specs, Sony has them all beat....
Example, compare these Sony's with the Koss *The Plug Classic*.
The sound difference is between night and day.....You'd expect Koss, being a company that is supposed to be known for sound equipment, to have a good product, but this Sony has them beat hands down for the sound, and they're the exact same price.

Utterly useless

I bought these at an airport in Denmark, hoping that a pair of earbuds from a well known brand would be able to play some music from my phone.
My demands aren't all that high really. All I want is a clear sound, not interrupted by cracking in speakers and other noise. I do not need an absurdly high volume or massive bass. Previous headphones and earbuds in the same price range have served me well (apple, koss) and I therefore know that my demands weren't too high.
These earbuds however, is in no way satisfying. They feel like a pair of cheap earbuds from a $1 dollar store, and they sound almost the same. There is noise everytime anything as much as touch them whilst they are plugged in my phone, and the sound is distant, as if I it came from another person with the volume far too loud rather than directly into my ear.
I am completely and utterly disappointed that a 'quality' brand such as sony even as much as stock this trash, and if I had the possibility, I would have demanded my money back.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Second pair fails inside 1 year

I replaced these headphones with the same unit. I expected a Sony product to be reliable. This is the last Sony earphones I will ever purchase. A complete disappointment for both units.

Love these

I've had a pair of these since Christmas and now it's July. Hey are very comfortable, sound good, and stay in your ears. I use them almost every day and as of about 2 days ago they have been excellent. On the downside, after a good 6 months with these awesome earbuds, they did break- when I plugged them in they were significantly quieter than they had been previously. I think that 6 months is very good for earbuds- I went to replace them and the ones I bought (that weren't Sony) broke after a day. I just went out and bought myself another pair of these in white and I'm using them now, they're great! Thanks Sony!

Best Low Price Headphones

These are the best low price headphones for everyday use. They do not break, the sound is average, and best of all they cancel out noise! Not all noise is cancelled but it is as close as I have ever come. Obviously these would not compete with top of the line headphones but if you are just an everyday person who needs basic headphones, these are the best you will find.
I would recommend this to a friend!
