I have been an iPhone user for at least the last 5 years and swore I would never change. Recently a friend showed me his Samsung Note 3 and I was so amazed in just the first few minutes that I immediately went out and got my own. Not even a close comparison between the two. The Samsung is so awesome! Loving it!
Little large but it's like a mini computer in your hands.
Pros: Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight
Cons: Too big
I would recommend this to a friend!

Size is not an issue

I upgraded to the Note 3 from a galaxy s3, and I am glad that I did. The screen real estate on the Note 3 is amazing. I thought I would have an issue with it, but not once have I wished it were smaller. My wife, who only uses slider phones, upgraded to a note 3 as well and she couldn't be happier. The processing power of the phone is top notch and so is the signal strength. I get lte coverage in places my old gs3 did not.
The s pen is an added bonus to everything this phone has to offer. The hand writing functionality that the s pen bring to the note 3 is amazing. I have the penmanship of a 2 year old and it is able to convert my hand writing to text with no problem.
Watching media on the note 3 is great. I own both a 7 and a 10 inch tablet and i prefer watching streaming videos on my note 3. It is big enough to were you do not have to strain on seeing the movie/show and not so large that it becomes awkward to hold. The built in speaker is not bad either. It is loud enough that speech can be heard clearly in a room with moderate background noise.
So this phone. I've owned and purchased each of its iterations. The last 2 fell short of greatness due to the lack of raw power and the s pen being in its earlier stages. Since then there have been changes, for better. Like the multi window feature has gotten far more robust. The pen feels so much better and the inclusion of its tracking on screen and rubber tip have become standards I feel for next iteration. I used the snote app all through college, and it got better for my senior year. It got easier to write music and email anyone from action memo. I use my phone everyday for productivity. Whether it's writing music, or opening emails on my blazing fast os. This is the best phone I've ever owned. I think the pen window feature is cool, but I shouldn't have to draw a window, it's another step that could have been taken out.
There is one thing that didn't carry over from the note 2. You used to be able to search your formula match online and it would show you answers to most equations. Something that is totally missing from this phone.
Also lots of bloatware that i don't care for, Looking at you my magazine........Other than that it's awesome. Great camera, great speed, great phone.
Pros: Bright display, Durable, Realistic color, Lightweight, never buy paper again.
Cons: formula look up missing., lots of bloat ware my magazine flip board...et
I would recommend this to a friend!

Camera is great, I can manage my entire months appointments with the calendar, phone call sound is great, and I really like the swipe to text feature. The stylus is easy to use to take notes or draw pictures to text and send to contacts. If there was a drawback at all, it MIGHT be the size, but it's manageable because I like the huge screen.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Durable, Realistic color
I would recommend this to a friend!

The Note 3 Excels, But...

Pros: 1. Large bright OLED display with integrated digitizer. The screen looks like it is physically on the Surface and has amazing color reproduction. Visible at most times on 30 to 40 percent brightness and being glare free in broad daylight and perfectly visible at 100 percent.
2. My first truly wireless experience. I have had the phone almost a month and have not plugged a single wire into it. I have been able to use it as a wireless Hotspot, a credit card, and an id. I have transfered files to a computer, other phones, and tablets as well as being able to play music on a speaker and charge my phone all wirelessly. 3. So many features No single review can cover all of the software and hardware features, but samsung really has outdone themselves 4. USB 3.0 It is lightning fast for both charging and data transfer, but it is backwards compatible with all the other usb 2 chargers.
5. Premium design Despite some glaring design issues, the phone feels very nice to hold and use, and despite what some say, the back may be plastic, but it truly feels like leather. The chrome finish is a nice touch 6. S voice blows SIRI out of the water
7. Battery lasts forever and a day
Cons: 1: the wireless charging battery door The only points I took off are for design, for two reasons this being the main one. The wireless charging back from Samsung makes Otterbox not fit your phone, and anyone who loves their phone as much as me wants it in a protective case. Boo. However, other reviews say that the s view cover is nice for protection. It's no Otterbox but how often do you really need Otterbox level protection. I plan on using the Otterbox for hiking and airsoft and the like and the s view wireless charging cover all other times. Either way it kinda sucks
2. The chrome dents easily Not like super easy but if you miss your pocket on asphalt you will have a rough edge.
Pros: Built-in speakers, Bright display, Realistic color, Lightweight, battery, features
Cons: chrome dents easy, the wireless charging battery door
I would recommend this to a friend!

I purchased the note 3 phone approximately 3 weeks ago.I have been extremely pleased with the quality and dependability of this phone. I very much like the size of the screen, quality of the phone, and quality of the camera. I have been able to obtain excellent quality video and pictures with the video and camera features of this phone.
