Nice product, but defective ice maker

Replacing similar fridge from a different company that stopped working beyond reasonable repair after 9 years. This model doesn't come with that many innovative features like some others. Very happy with the design (visual appeal) and the reasonable price, but the sound level is slightly higher then we were used to. Water dispenser works much better. We would appreciate one more shelf in the freezer to divide the storage space more efficiently, though.The ice maker is an issue - it stopped working after 2 days. We were able to make about 1 full bucket of ice, only. We need to call the warranty service, but currently can't afford to waste a working day waiting for a technician to arrive.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This refrigerator has been great! A few people have complained about the ice maker being loud. I wouldn't say that it's loud, but you can hear it. I've never had an automatic ice maker that I couldn't hear.The features of this unit are Great! The quick ice setting, the door a-jar alarm, the internal air filter. The freezer has plenty of room for bigger items. The refrigerator is configurable to allow for multiple gallons of milk and two litter bottles.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Love my new fridge!!

Only two problems. First, can't get shaved ice without it spilling onto the floor. I tried holding the glass as high up and close as I could but still had problem. Cubed ice isn't as bad. I still put the glass as high to to top as possible to keep the ice from falling out on the floor. Second, the light cover in the freezer keeps popping out on the right side.

Overall this refrigerator is excellent. From the design to operation, It satisfies a lot. When looking Inside, the refrigerator has big space to put everything in it. I like the ice maker part, it makes ice fast and ready to use.I will recommend this product to my friends.

Good product overall, cehap plastics used on bins

My wife and I replaced a smaller Whirlpool side by side unit that stopped working after 11 years. As long as we are updating our kitchen, we decided to also update the appliances. We have been satisfied with the Whirlpool brand in the past, but you can see that they have made things a bit cheaper all around.The plastic door bins are the biggest disappointment. The very first day while un packing the unit, I managed to drop one and it immediately cracked down a molding line. The bins are much thinner than in the pas and no longer have a secondary frame to strengthen them.This particular unit does have the ice maker in the door which we preferred since other models had the unit in the top shelf area taking up freezer space.The switch to smaller cubes from our previous model is a plus. It does seem to be a bit nosier than our older unit.
