this product has many great features

I love how much room there is in this refrigerator many shelfs and draws and compartments in both doors you can see everything when you open the doors. The freezer is very roomy also I was amazed at how much I could put in it very easy to operate the water and ice you have a choice crushed or cubed ice the settings are on the outside of door so you dont have to keep doors open to change settings alarm sounds if doors are ajar love that feather with children cleans easily

We bought this refrigerator for a future investment property, which we are currently living in. It has great features (door alarm) and is spacious. I'm not a fan of "faux" stainless steel frigs, but this was a good purchase.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Sound Level & Ice Maker

Although the product looks excellent and is roomy with many good features, but we find that the operational noise level is higher than we expected and the ice maker performs way below expectations.We disappointed with the two features we have pointed out.The freezer compartment is excellent as is the refrigerator section.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this refrigerator especially the ice on the door. Would like one more shelf in both the refrigerator and freezer but overall very pleased with the product.

Falls short on reliability and features

First the good. This is a fine looking appliance. The stainless steel buffs up real nice with a stainless steel cleaner. The lines are also well done. The long handles complementing the long dispenser actuators. Inside the compartments are well lit, assisted by the top light which stands in the front top of the fridge. The glass shelves extend all the way to the edge of the interior. Mechanical sound is OK. Nothing irritating yet.The bad. The ice maker was DOA on day one. No ice produced. Checking the manufacture date, it was just a month old so this is a new unit. I'm glad I have the extended warranty given all the complaints I've read of the in-door ice makers. Hopefully this won't be a recurrent problem.For a 26 cubic foot unit this feels small inside. When shopping I took my tape measure with me and can tell you the width of the freezer compartment is the smallest I measured, coming in at just over 12 inches wide at the middle. No other fridge I measured was this small. For me, it was not a show stopper because I am not a big frozen pizza eater and because the width, while lacking, was compensated somewhat by the icebox in the door. A pizza box will barely fit on the middle shelf. Barely. If you like frozen pizzas, not recommended. Note that the sides are not totally parallel. The width gets smaller at the bottom and less so but still smaller at the top. I thought this tight fit was compensated on the refrigerator side, but it is not. I notice the freezer has an extra thick plastic molding on the left, I suppose for insulation. That's what's taking up the room.On the fridge side, the depth of the shelves is also lacking and somewhat less than the others I measured. Again, this is really a small fridge for the stated cubic feet spec. The top shelf is oddly placed and designed as you cannot put a gallon jug there and the center light takes up more space. Even more space is taken up by the air and water filter in back. I wish I had noticed this at the store. Your eyes naturally focus on this shelf when you open the fridge as it is eye level. Just not much space to use. Plan on using the side bins alot.If you are single like me I don't think the cubic foot size issue of this model is as much of an issue as it would be for a family. For families I think there are better alternatives. The layout of the space itself is uncompetitive.In the end I wish I had done better due diligence. I did spend alot of time looking and found flaws in many products. This was is flawed both in the way it came to me (broken) and the way space is laid out.

I bought a month ago based on a previous experience with a sibling Kenmore, I think the first one was a better design with more shelves, shilled water was available in the first glass, this one you have to get two glasses of water in order to get the third one at specified temperature.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Like everyone, we did hours of research to narrow our choices before seeing them on the display floor. Deciphering so much info was mind numbing but the theme remained constant. Whirlpool gave us the best hope for reliability and service, if needed. Ours was also attractive and had all the essentials for our needs.Have only had it six weeks but we are very satisfied. And it gathers compliments as others walk by!
