Excellent refrigerator - just what I was looking for!

Our old refrigerator broke down suddenly. We needed a quality, well priced replacement. This Whirlpool side by side model is exactly what we needed. Plenty of space with a sleek design and all the basic modern refrigerator conveniences. The in door ice maker provides extra freezer space - and the removable ice bin is nice. We are very happy with our purchase.

Beautiful Refrigerator!

We had lots of trouble finding a unit to fit our "box". This one was the only one that maximized our space without being too small. It's sleek and modern looking, with practical features. All it's missing is the egg holder.

Poor design

First, the ice maker is almost worthless. Most of the time it will not keep up enough ice for two people, and yes the repair has been done.Second, the water in the door is not cooled at all, so when you do have ice, the water melts what ice you have in your glass, Very poor design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Stainless Steal finish that stains

Besides paying more money for an upgraded refrigerator that the builder installed into a space that prevents the storage drawers on the refrigerator side to be removed for cleaning, I am bothered by the difficulty to keep the stainless steal finish clean of stains.Additionally, the freezer door has the ice, water and control panel. My concern is that after a year's warranty expires, what is the cost involved in any repair that may be needed since this feature is used several times a day.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Love this Refridgerator

Unexpectedly (of course) we had to buy a new refrigerator...our old model we had for about 15 years, so with all of the new technology out there we were quite overwhelmed with choices. We love this model - the freezer has excellent space - the ice bin on the door really frees up a ton of space. Lighting is excellent in both the fridge area as well as freezer. The water filter is in a very convenient area to change, we have yet to change it though. There is also an air filter in the refrigerator side, the filter comes with a tag that tells you when to change it - this was the only item we had issue with - we couldn't figure out how to install it! But finally got it done.The ice & water on the door is fantastic - the compartment allows for taller glasses & pitchers - very easy to use.Controls on the door are a cinch to understand and the ease of use is fantastic - if you are in the market for a new refrigerator/freezer - buy this one - don't waste your time looking at another model!I would recommend this model to everyone - we love it. I'm hopeful it will last as long as our last model did!

NO PROBLEMS THUS FAR. I WISH I COULD CHANGE THE SHAPE OF THE ICE CUBES. I AM PRETTY MUCH SATIFIED WITH THIS PRODUCT. THE WASHER AND DRYER I HAD YEARS AGO WERE VERY RELIABLE. I AM SURE THIS REFRIDGERATOR WILL PROVIDE YEARS OF TROUBLE FREE SERVICE.
