We have had the Whirlpool side by side refrigerator for only a short time but have been impressed with the in door ice/water system and the fact that interior cooling seems to be even through out, no unusal warm or cold spots that we have experienced in other brands. Only issue is we have not been able to receive information on water filter reminder/ordering procedures.
I would recommend this to a friend!

I have owned this for 2 years. Issues in the first year, doors wont close on there own, and a water line broke. It was repaired under warranty after 3 repair calls to my house. The doors still wont close on there own, ice comes out in bits and pieces, very noise and yesterday it froze everything in the fridge :(
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The ease of use is 100 percent better than our old top freezer model. I love being able to see everything in both the refrigerated and freezer sections, with very little bending. The capacity is very generous, and I love the bins and lighting. The ice/water dispenser works perfectly; I'm surprised how much I like it. The price was very reasonable.I highly recommend this product!

I had this fixed once during the warranty period because there was water dripping inside the refrigerator from around the water purifier. It turned out the damper had a huge hole in it from the factory and had to be replaced, and the seal around the freezer had to be reformed because it was leaking air. Now that the warranty is expired, the damper assembly is dripping with condensation again, the ice maker is starting to malfunction, and the seal around the freezer is leaking air again. I am probably going to have to replace this piece of junk soon even though it's barely over a year old.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
