Highly efficient

Ths works great. I have a Kil-a-watt meter hooked up to it and it is costing less than advertised - about $32 per year instead of $35-$36 per year. the only noticeable thing is a little sound like a squirrel in a cage-wheel running the whole thing when the compressor is on. Old freezer has worked fine for 42 years, but was costing $170 per year to run.

Long Lasting Freezer

I have had my freezer since the summer of 1993, and still has it up present date, 04/17/2016. After having repaired it once, which might have been the later year of the 1990s, I have since not done any repair with it. I will surely buy another Whirlpool freezer in the event that this one no longer functions as I have been very pleased.The size seems alright since it is roomy to take in lots of items and even for a family that is large.

I bought this a month ago to replace the 7 year old Whirlpool freezer that quit . This one has an alarm that I hope will keep from losing another freezer full of food. It was the right size that we needed. I hope I don't regret buying Whirlpool again. I think appliances should last longer than 7 years...

Great Chest Freezer

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Bought my freezer, and had it delivered to my house three weeks ago. I have owned both a larger and a smaller freezer in the past, and find this to be just the right size. The delivery men were very attentive to my requests. The freezer is working great so far. I was surprised to see that many freezers do not have an indicator light that allows you to know the freezer is on & working. This freezer does have an on indicator light, & also an audible alarm to let you know it is not working properly, possibly saving you from losing a freezer full of meat etc. I am very pleased with my purchase, & highly recommend this product.

perfect size

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Quiet and freezes evenly. Freezer door is easy to open and the light makes it easy to see everything. It is hard for me to reach the bottom. I would prefer a small shelf or another basket below. My old freezer had a flash defrost feature which this one is lacking, but I haven't found any other models that has it.

Great features!

It also has great features that I didn't find in other freezers of it's size/price range, like the always on green light indicator & the ability to lock. Seems great, dose make a slight buzz noise when running, but my husband is going to try level it & see if that remedies the noise.
