What a great product

We bought this brand and style because our Whirlpool side-by-side had issues and hated the small freezer side. This one just makes sense. Easy access and the middle drawer is the best feature to store bulky items or meat - what ever. It is extremely quiet, and will only cost $55 a year to run. The sides aren't S/S, but at least they made it gray, so it LOOKs stainless from the side (ours sticks out). Great product.

Display Panel Defect

Had this fridge only about 4 weeks when the touch panel display cover fell off onto the floor. Samsung was very good about it but ended up replacing the entire fridge.
Pros: Bright display
Cons: Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

The Ice Maker is Awful!

Love the refrigerator, but HATE the ice maker. It is so loud, that when the ice drops down it can be heard throughout the house! Would not recommend this product!

Does not have butter storage compartmrnt--very annoying. Ice cubes do not come out whole--both chips and cubes are dispensed on cube setting. Was sold as stainless steel--IS NOT. Doors will not hold magnet--sides will. Assume doors are plastic..

Just bought this refrigerator today. Crew that brought it over put it in place, plugged it in and made sure the water line for ice was hooked up... then left...without completing the prescribed "check out" list.
At that point we were on our own...and the control panel for the unit does not work. No lights, no buttons operational no nothing!
We have no idea if the unit will keep things too cold or not cold enough...and no way to tell what to expect.
Of course the store we bought the appliance from, can't get anyone to repair it for at least three days (AFTER first telling us someone would be right out!)... and in the meantime attempts to get it set right at their call center simply get us put on hold for 30 minutes or so.
Yeh... disgusted in Detroit!!!
Cons: Poor quality, Did not meet expectations, inoperative from day one!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

solidly built but small interior

We recently purchased this fridge because of the great Samsung reviews and the need for a 33" wide fridge with large interior space. We replaced a 36" wide fridge with 26.9 cu.ft. interior. When compared to the space we had before this seems pretty small, although it's listed with only .9 cu.ft less. On the icemaker side door the top shelf & middle shelf are difficult to fit anything on (suggestions??).
With that said it is a good solid fridge (that's what we were impressed with in regards to the competition) and seems to be working fine. The middle drawer is a nice feature but the separaters slide & it's difficult to get to the back compartments. The crisper drawers humidity adjusters slide easily as you put items on top. I'm hoping as I get more familiar with the fridge I will be able to arrange items to where we can fit more in.
Pros: Bright display, Durable
Cons: Did not meet expectations
