Love this Frig!

My husband and I bought this refrigerator about a month ago and it was installed right before Christmas. I love that it is a counter-depth because our last frig stuck out in the kitchen and I always disliked that. I also love the stainless steel, which matches my other appliances. I love how I can see everything in the frig and nothing is blocked from view, which means things don't get forgotten and the frig stays cleaner. The auto fill option for water is so much fun and very accurate! The precise fill is also great, just program how many ounces of water you need and it measures the exact amount. This is the first time we have had a bottom freezer and I'm so pleased with the extra drawers above to put smaller items in. We are still learning all the features and so far very pleased with everything.
I would recommend this to a friend!

problem with icemaker

Like the water dispenser but does not make enough ice-takes too long-the ice keeper is a great idea but the ice eventually sticks together. The freezer drawer is very handy. Finish stays very clean and spot free!

Above and Beyond our Expectations

Before taking delivery of our refrigerator my wife did a web search on reviews for this refrigerator. The three complaints that were mentioned in the reviews were a loud compressor sound; a dripping water dispenser; and not enough ice cube storage... First, when the installer turned on the refrigerator I had to ask him if the refrigerator was even on... I could not hear any sound coming from the compressor. I am quite impressed on how quiet the refrigerator is... Far quieter than our old 12 year old refrigerator...Regarding a dripping water dispenser... Folks, read the directions... Run the water out of the water line for a few minutes to clear air from the water line... Our refrigerator water dispenser dripped as well until we purged the air from the line by filling up a large cup with water 5 or 6 times... Now it's "dropless"... Well there is plenty of ice cube storage... There is an additional ice cube bin in the freezer compartment... Some folks may not realize that this ice cube storage space is in fact available... But this additional ice cube storage is clearly stated in the directions...
We are thrilled with our purchase... There is much more storage space overall than our old side by side unit.

LOVE THE LOOKS, BUT HATE THE NOISE

WE LOVE THE LOOK AND FEATURES OF THIS REFRIGERATOR, BUT IT IS THE NOISIEST REFRIGERATOR WE HAVE EVER HAD. OUR PREVIOUS REFRIGERATOR WAS ALSO A GE PROFILE AND WE LOVED IT AND NEVER HEARD IT. THIS MODEL SEEMS TO RUN ALL THE TIME AND HUMS. THE AUTO FILL FEATURE IS NICE BUT IT DRIPS WHEN DONE.
WE ALREADY HAD A REPAIR TECH OUT TO CHECK THE NOISE AND HE SAIT THAT IT WAS NORMAL. NOT HAPPY BECAUSE WHEN WE ARE WATCHING A QUIET MOVIE, WE ACTUALLY HAVE TO TURN THE TV VOLUME UP TO DROWN OUT THE HUM. WE EXPECTED MORE FROM GE, ESPECIALLY FOR WHAT WE PAID FOR IT!!

Love the freezer; not crazy about the noise

We are pleased with the overall look and function of this frig. The freezer actually holds pizza boxes and french bread! My husband loves the auto fill function. However, there are a few things we don't like about this frig. It can be noisy...comes and goes and the sound comes from more than one place. The ice production is minimal due to the ice storage bin. If you plan to have more than a few guests in the house, you might want to consider buying a bag of ice before they arrive.
