I bought mine in 2012 and, after 7 years of continuous service, I finally damaged the mechanism. So in love with it, I'd like to mend it (old school style) but it is now out of production so the little plastic ring I need likely unavailable. It still works fine if I'm gentle, so I won't buy a new unit until it finally quits.
