This is a good sized TV with sharp colors, which makes the TV watching very enjoyable. The mouse is a little tricky but you'll get used to it as you practice more. In some sites you might need the Adobe Flash to view videos, which is not available on this TV yet. The Netflix doesn't have a User Friendly interface, which I hope will improve in time. Other than that, this is an excellent product you won't regret.

Where do I start? Picture quality is such that you feel like your in the studio as it is being shot. With the included LG Wireless LAN Adapter, Plug-in, answer a couple of questions and your on line utilizing your home wireless router. Magic Motion remote is really cool! This baby has all the connection ports you will need. From the ease of assembly to the quick and painless start-up this TV keeps the pleasure coming with the added features of the LG Apps function and the seemless navigation to your online world and streaming video source.

Missing Pandora

This TV has a great picture and I was even impressed with the sound. However, there is not a Pandora App. A Pandora App would complete this TV and take my satisfaction with it from middle of the road to off the charts. LG - Please create a Pandora App for this smart TV.

Nice features, poor picture quality

Having never owned an LG product before and hearing about how high quality their product's are, I was pretty excited to get this TV. It is very easy to set up and the variety of built-in apps is convenient. The mouse like extra remote is fun to play with, but not used regularly in our house. I need to research how to install additional software since Flash is not built in which is kind of silly since you can surf the internet.
My major complaint with this TV is the picture quality. I have been very disappointed with how blurry moving items are on the screen. Something does not have to be moving very quickly and I will see a blur behind it. This is extremely distracting and makes me feel like I spent a lot of my hard earned money on a low quality item. I thought this was an issue with Netflix streaming, but it happens with DVD's and Blu-Rays as well.
All of the additional features are great, but this TV fails miserably in what it should do best. I would not recommend this TV. I am disappointed that I am stuck with this for the foreseeable future since I can't just spend this kind of money on something better. Brand reputation did not deliver in this case.
Pros: Style/Design, easy to use

Best TV I've Ever Owned!!

Love my new LG TV!! What an incredible picture. The clarity and color are awesome compared to my previous TVs. I like the features and they are easy to use. The only problem I've had with the TV was with connecting it to my WiFi. That was more my fault than anything to do with the TV though. I don't use the internet capability as much as I could but I'm still learning how and what I want to do on it. This is absolutely hands down the best TV I've ever watched or owned. Thank you LG!! BTW - It works great with the LG Blu-ray player as well.

Great Purchase

I bought this TV 4 months ago after a Sony Bravia model I owned blew its panel on me after only 2.5 years! With this purchase, I've experienced ZERO buyers remorse in the past 4 months. The picture and sound are fantastic, and there are so many features that come with the SmartTV functionality that I haven't gotten a chance to try them all yet.
The one negative thing I do have to bring up is the magic remote (think: Wii-style remote). Maybe it's just mine, but it's never worked correctly. It seems that no matter how many times you 'center' - or calibrate - it, the on-screen pointer becomes misaligned with even the slightest flick of the wrist. EVERY TIME. I finally quit using it altogether. This is really no big deal since the TV comes with your standard remote control, too.
Overall, I've been extremely impressed with this television, and the LG experience overall. Life is Good, indeed!

I've had my 55VL5500 for 5 months now, and it's simply the best TV you could ever ask for! Setup & mounting was a snap, the network & software features are easy to use so I can stream contentt from my home network to the TV, and the automatic software updates have really improved my TV experience! I have two LG's now and will never buy another brand again. Excellent quality & value for a great price!

This is a marvelous TV. I am a music teacher in an elementary and wanted to be able to project from my computer. My IT guy suggested a flat panel TV rather than a projector. Boy am I glad he did! I don't have to worry about glare or pixelation. Everything looks fabulous on it and it was simple to install and use. I run all my lessons on it with videos and music imbedded and Internet sites as well. When it came time to replace our TV at home a few months later - we choose this one as well. Our living has a lot of natural light and the picture still looks good during the day. We are VERY happy with choice.
