Turbo gets more difficult

Somehow there is a need to differentiate between a 1099R and a 1099 R thats a RMD distribution. Most 1099R's are just plain retirement incomes. Perhaps turbo tax with its power can recommend to IRS a need for a 1099RMD
Also the need to print the forms from pdf and not from the turbo tax program is cumbersome

Confusing & vague but still the fastest & easiest

I have used TurboTax for a few years and have usually used the basic return. This year I bought a house and moved states so I got the deluxe. I was very un-impressed with the additional functionality of deluxe. Many of the sections would ask me to input numbers, but would give me no information on how to calculate or where to find the information. The community answers were worthless so I had to go elsewhere and just hope I was entering the correct information. I would also like TurboTax to auto-fill some sections with the obvious information then allow me to approve or modify entries. This math isnt hard, so its surprising that this isnt already included. Overall, I still think TurboTax is the quickest easiest way to file your taxes and I will most likely use it again next year.
What's great about it: Quick, Simple Walkthrough, Good Add-ons
What's not so great: Many sections need explanations, not enough auto-fill (or recommendations)

Smooth Sailing

Very helpful program just answer a few questions and the program takes over. It also searches for updates and any IRS changes, you don't have to worry if your doing anything wrong. Had to call a Rep. for a question I had and he was very helpful,and very nice.
What's great about it: Does all the work
What's not so great: Charge for State E-file

Actually after using Turbo Tax for several years it has become easier to get necessary items during the year to make actual filing quiteeasy.
