Great Help

This was a difficult year to wade through. We had wages for 1/2 year for one, full year for the other, retirement pension, annuity, Social Security. The pension was subject to special rules. Online help worked that problem out. Otherwise, it was all a dream. The main thing is to have good records - we use Quicken and categorize everything according to tax filing. It really streamlines the process.
What's great about it: Handles the odd situation of clergy; was great with dealing with multiple sources of income
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

I have used the Turbo Tax software for several years and I absolutely trust this software. I have always felt it has given me the best results possible. I will continue to use it each year.

I Love Turbo Tax! I always get a great refund and none of the worry! All the forms all the data and none of the hassle and I don't feel like I'm getting rushed like at that certain tax prep office that is really just a fast food joint for taxes!
What's great about it: Simple and fast
What's not so great: doesn't always tell you exactly why you dont get a certain deduction

I Return Year After Year

I used to buy those thick, difficult-to-understand books. Then I spent a lot of money with a CPA. This is now my fourth year using TurboTax and I can get it all done and filed during one Sunday afternoon football game.
What's great about it: Wades the user through tax complexity in an orderly, easy-to-understand process
What's not so great: A targeted search seems to require exact terminology used by TurboTax

Easy and Thorough

Have used Turbo Tax for the past several years and always found the software very user friendly. Speeds up the refund process. Hint to new users: Gather all your tax forms, donation forms, etc., just as though you were going to an in-person tax professional......because although Turbo Tax personnel are not sitting on the other side of your computer, Turbo Tax will still ask you questions, and you will need the information off the forms. It is good that you can save your Turbo Tax File and come back to it later, just in case you didn't have everything at your finger tips.
What's great about it: I like the option of going back and forth on deductions, etc. Just in case I forgot something.
What's not so great: none really
Pros: I moved, I bought or sold investments
