I've used TurboTax for over a decade now. It's better each year it seems. It's partnerships with investment firms make downloading and calculating taxes from investments painless. I double check because I have a hard time believing it, but TurboTax is always right.
What's great about it: Downloads from financial institutions
What's not so great: You don't have to understand it
Pros: I bought or sold investments

2013 Tax Forms

Program listed errors for each entry when itsDeductible was used for a single charity organization, requiring the date, description and value method to be entered for each item. This caused considerable extra work and time. I spent 2 hours on the phone with Intuit support before I could resolve the errors and several more hours entering the data.
What's great about it: Thorough and (usually) easy to use.
What's not so great: ItsDeductible has problems

What's great about it: Logical and intuitive software
What's not so great: Not clear to me whether Medicare is considered "Health Insurance" by this software.

Finally got the "RITA' form correct this year.

Not sure why RITA did not work correctly in previous years, but it was nice to see it finally work......have written in past years, but nothing was done.

I have used TurboTax for many years and will continue to do so. The ease of filling out the return is unsurpassed, and the small price to file the state electronic is well worth it. I HIGHLY recommend this to everyone!!!!

I have used TurbTax for several years. The user interface is generally quite straight-forward and easy to walk through. I occasionally find a few items now and then which is occasionally unclear whether I can deduct or not (itemizing), or whether the property tax amount I am entering is actually the amount required. I really wish there was an option on each of the pages where they ask you question, as to whether you are having difficulty with exactly what kind of info they are looking for, etc. Also, regarding itemizing medical deductions...I wish I could just enter a total amount at the beginning of the Q&A to give me a quick yes or no if I can deduct or not. If I already know how much I spend in medical (for deductions), it forces you to enter amounts under all of the medical catagories only to tell you "sorry, you cannot deduct...you're better off taking the standard deductions". Overall, though, I like TurboTax and I use it each year.
What's great about it: Straight-forward
What's not so great: Occasionally a few deductions I'm unsure about

Taxes are fast and accurate with Turbo Tax!
What's great about it: Importing data from prior year's return makes data entry fast and error free.
What's not so great: No cons this year.
