Easy Peasy Lemon Squeezy

My overall experience using TurboTax for tax seasons 2012 and 2013 has been WONDERFUL. Nice flow of questions and answers to fill in all required information for filing taxes. The additional comments/suggestions following the questions are very helpful if the user is unsure.
I understand the intention of the program is to let the user enter his/her information personally. But, I could have created a number of problems for myself when I added an extra zero to my local tax deduction section. This could have created serious problems for other users if they did not know an estimated amount he/she was expect to receive during tax season. More specifically, I incorrectly input my local income tax amount by adding another zero. This would have shown that I almost paid the same amount for my federal tax as i did for my local tax. Once I completed the Q&A sections, and before the final filing, I noticed how large my return was going to be (almost the same amount as i paid in total taxes). Knowing this did not seem correct, I went back through the program to determine my error. I know this was user error, but is there anyway you could create checks to ensure the user did not incorrectly input values? I'm not talking about a few dollars (i.e. should be $745 and user input $754), but an extra zero (i.e. should be $745 and user input $7450) is much more detrimental, especially during the input of income tax (fed,state,and local) section.
What's great about it: Flow of Q&As throughout refund
What's not so great: Did not catch typo during local income tax section
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Couldn't be easier

I love TurboTax. If I were to go to an accountant, I'm sure I would forget things, like vehicle license tax or some medical expenses. Doing it myself at home, I can just run out to the car and check the registration and BAM another $678.00 deduction! Never had a problem with this program.
What's great about it: simple, fast, easy to grab forgotten deductions

Still Easy Enough, but too Expensive

I started using TurboTax a number of years ago on the recommendation of a CPA friend. It was efficient, met my needs, and at minimal cost. However, once I began working in a neighboring state, and had two states to download and e-file I quickly realized that TurboTax cost me a great deal more than going to a CPA would have, especially since I don't qualify to deduct the cost. I recommend it to people with simple taxes and one state to file in. Anyone else should just make an appointment, and let an accountant do the work for you. You'll save money and your own valuable time.
What's great about it: Same easy step by step process.
What's not so great: Nickel and dime you to death.

Great Product

I have used this every year since 2004 and I feel like it's the best product on the market for me. Its easy to use and the guided steps and explanations walk you through the entire process.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved, I bought or sold investments

paid for e-filing service before the software decided it wouldn't send my return electronically. expecting a refund.
