Tax Filing

Turbotax is the only way you should be filing taxes. It takes the guess work out of making sure your additions and subtractions are correct.
What's great about it: Everything, easy, fast, and always correct
What's not so great: None that I can think of.

Easy to use!

Overall good product, but you need to manually manipulate some input if you live in a different state than you work.
What's great about it: Easy to use, fast, accurate
What's not so great: If you live in MA, but work in RI, you have to know to put 0 in the MA w-2 wages box manually or you will be double tax

Our computer crashed in 2013 and we thought all of our tax info was gone, However, you had a copy of last year's return.Wow!!
Filing since 09 and it is so easy to follow your instructions.

packaging

The packaging for the "Federal with State" and "Federal" only are too much alike. Also the displays are in the same rack at the stores (Office Max). If the store does not constantly monitor the racks to be sure the boxes are not interchanged a customer can grab the wrong one, which I did, take it home, work on the return and not realize the problem until getting to the state portion of the return. I was pretty angry when I looked at the box closer and realized the problem. Luckily, the store understood what happened and did do an exchange.

2013 Tax Return Comments

The only complaint I have is confusing/conflicting information about deducting the interest paid on my Class A recreational vehicle. The information on this subject isn't nearly as clear as other deductions and isn't included in the deductions section.
What's great about it: Very handy and easy to complete return
What's not so great: Tax deduction guidance
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
