I had trouble e-filing from my mac. However, the on line help desk was helpful. I shut down my computer, went to dinner, came back, rebooted and it e-filed just fine.
What's great about it: very easy
What's not so great: had a little trouble e-filing

The program is a good program because we keep using it each year. It is hard at times on the deductions to understand the language.
What's great about it: comparing last year figures with this year
What's not so great: some of the wording is hard to understand

My experience with Turbo Tax

I found Turbo Tax easy to use with the exception of determining what the maximum IRA contribution I can make based on my income. In past years, Turbo Tax suggested what my maximum contribution could be. However, this year, I had to enter a random high number, prompting Turbo Tax to tell me the amount that is deductable. This took way to long and I should not have to do trial and error entries just to get the software to tell me the max amount deductable.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: Amount of max IRA deduction not suggested

After taking our taxes to a professional the past two years and paying in the past two years we decided to Try Turbo Tax. Well this year Turbo Tax paid off as we FINALLY got money back, and it was much cheaper than the professional we paid. Always doing Turbo Tax from now on.
What's great about it: Easy to do
What's not so great: Took longer than planned

Even Grandmas Can Do It

I think that after doing Turbo Tax since before it became TurboTax, I should have realized that I was almost a pro. This year, I didn't use the process that lets TurboTax generate all of the steps. This saved me an awful lot of time. I should have been braver several years ago!!
What's great about it: The prompts when I've entered something questionable is a great help.
What's not so great: I had a duplicate charitable entry that the system didn't catch.
