Turbo Tax

Great program. We have used it for 3 years and will continue to use it.
What's great about it: The program walks me through the process, step by step.
What's not so great: Technological glitches with updates can take time to download.

Fees are high for state taxe e-filing

IN the educational expenses deduction it initially told me that that I couldn't take the deduction. It didn't take me though gathering the information that was needed. I had to go back and input information that allowed me to go from paying income tax to getting a refund. If the software was left on it own I would have missed a significant deduction.
What's great about it: import information from previous year
What's not so great: High fee for state tax e-file

Great until the end

Overall, the program is amazing. I love being able to do my taxes at home with confidence. My problem came at the end while trying to submit my taxes. I was having a problem with a validation error. I researched it a little and found that I was not alone with this problem. I was able to restart the software and submit successfully after that, but it made me uneasy for a second. I would have thought that an update would have been released by now to correct that glitch in the software.
What's great about it: Quick and easy
What's not so great: bugs with filing

Overall I have used Turbo Tax for many years and it has been fast efficient and much less expensive than when I had to use a CPA.
What's great about it: Ease of Completing Taxes with help when needed
What's not so great: Sometimes need personal help

I have used several tax preparation software programs in the past. TurboTax Deluxe has always been my first choice. It is easier to use than ever.
What's great about it: Incorporating It's Dectible into the filing software
What's not so great: There were no cons. Easier to use than ever before.

2013 Turbo Tax

Turbo Tax is great! Easy to use, easy to walk through and usually find everything you need. If you need help, the search works great! I've used turbo tax for the last three years and it's so easy to pull up my history which makes for really fast service on all the basic personal information. I highly recommend turbo tax to anyone.

Why go to an in person tax preparer

I would recommend this for anyone doing their own taxes. Why pay hundreds of dollars to have someone do your taxes when you can do it your self for a lot less money?
