OK for simple taxes otherwise disappointing

Unable to go directly to tax form to review and adjust. Does have ability to deal with sections of return without doing interview which is good but limits you to the areas they have identified. At times felt the program was so focused on "maximizing credits/deductions" that it did not make sure the other areas of the return were completed correctly. As a certified volunteer tax preparer I wanted more flexibility. Did like the ability to get additional information on specific areas like health insurance. Best for someone not familiar with taxes and wants to just follow the program. Felt the State return format was most limiting and did not allow (at least I could not figure it out) how to make entries for user taxes and special State charitable deductions. .
What's great about it: Liked discussion on health insurance credits and other areas of interest
What's not so great: Difficult to go back to State tax form and adjust particularly if area is not one of the ones identified.

Quick and easy

All in all, pretty decent experience. Once my documents were in order it did not take long to go through all of the necessary sections. The most difficult part was e-filing our state return. For some reason I repeatedly ran into errors with the payment submission on more than one occasion, even with appropriate internet settings. Eventually we'll get it done!
What's great about it: Nice layout, straight forward and user-friendly.

Turbo Makes it EASY!!

I have used turbo tax for several years either on-line or as a download. The download version still allows for the transfer of last year's information making it very easy each year to complete taxes. This is especially so because I have had few changes over the years. I will soon be retiring from one job and moving into another. I wonder if Intuit has information online about how to maximize tax savings and document information as I move into another phase of my life.
What's great about it: Transfer of information, included state & city
What's not so great: Couldn't e-file city tax

turbotax is the best thing you have done for people who have no knowledge with the tax lingo and the tax stuff that does make sense. I am glad to get great help with your support on any subjects because you can get the answers right away without trying to figure out the problem. thanks again for the turbotax product for computers

Fast and efficient

I have been using Turbo Tax for many years and have always appreciated the brevity of this program. It makes quick work of taxes and is well worth the annual investment.
