Love Turbo Tax

I love it. Been using it for many, many years. Always get a refund, It's so simple and much cheaper than hiring someone. I love being in control of what I get back. I moved last year, I have a college student, something always changing and it's so easy to adjust my numbers etc.

Tax time calmness

Was recommended this system by my older son. It was one of the best things that could have happened to us at tax time. This is our 3rd year and we will continue with this system for as long as we need to file. I didn't have to show worry or disgust while doing this process, and boy was my family happy. Thank you for less stress.
What's great about it: step by step instructions
What's not so great: scared that I was doing it right since it was so easy
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Done for Another Year

I would like the software to take me back to the spot in the long menus to the menu item I had just completed so I could go right on, not to the top of the menu each time so I have to scroll down to the next subject I wanted to address. This would save a little time and should not be hard to incorporate. Thanks.
What's great about it: Very thorough examination of possible tax items, Easy to use.
What's not so great: After completing one item and pressing Done the software always took me back to the top of the menu.

Best Yet!

Have been using Turbo Tax for several years and will continue. It gets easier every year with all the improvements.
What's great about it: imports from past years returns and its deductible made filing even easier this year.
What's not so great: got confused with its deductible apparently I had more than 1 account
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

A bit disappointed

As an elder of the Church of Christ, much of my volunteer work involves visiting shut-ins, those in the hospital, nursing homes, etc., as well as attending elders' meetings, encouraging ministers and deacons, etc.
Just like the medical mileage, I keep a record of my driving for this charity. However, Turbotax calls for the mileage for one trip, times the number of trips. That just doesn't work! In order to get the deduction, I had to divide my total mileage by the number of total trips to get an average, and then report it the way Turbotax insisted on. DUMB!
It seemed that a number of other items were more difficult than they needed to be, and also more than in past years.
What's great about it: Calculating medical mileage was the way it should be: total miles by mileage allowance.
What's not so great: Calculating mileage for charity deductions was awful for 2013
