Turbo Tax

I use TurboTax for my refunds because it is easy to follow. Sometimes on my special circumstances, I feel that there is not enough information. Like last year we sold and bought a new house. Needed information on what was deductible and what was allowed. Some info was available but didn't feel like there was enough

Best Tax Preparation Method. I have been using Turbo TAX for 6 years now, and have no regrets. Simple, fast, user friendly...words cannot express my satisfaction. Thank you Turbo TAX!

Perfect for anyone who can read

I've been using TurboTax for 10 years now and recommend it to anyone. It updates from previous years tax returns stored on your computer and uses your info in all needed places, like how many kids and your income, so you don't have to input multiple times. TurboTax downloads W-2s for best accuracy.
What's great about it: love the walkthrough and details, simple questions.
What's not so great: if you dont know your basics, it takes many steps to find everything

Been using It for years

I've been using Turbotax for many years. By this time I understand what I need to walk through the interview and it's a breeze. I just put all my tax related info into a file throughout the year, sort through it during a snow day or sometime during the New Year Holiday, and wait for the w-2's etc to be mailed to me. Then, it's a matter of adding thing together and going through the turbo tax software. It only takes me about 45 minutes and I itemize, have investments, and business expenses. What would cost me hundreds and force me to go to some office somewhere to work with a "professional" I can do at my kitchen table for nothing more than the cost of the software.
What's great about it: Guides me through each section.
What's not so great: Nothing

My Turbo Tax experience

I've filed using Turbo Tax for years now and found it's very easy to do. I'll continue to use same in the years to come.

Tax Frustration becomes Refunded Bliss

Turbo Tax was the best purchase I made this year. Normally, doing my taxes by hand and hunting the internet for deductions is a pain. The information sometimes isn't accurate, and there is too much guess work in it. Turbo Tax eliminated the guess work and the wasted time on the internet. It allowed me to quickly file and complete my taxes. I didn't have to go to some store and I didn't have to deal with a tax professional. All my frustration was eliminated as soon I as I finished and e-filed them. With an interface as great as this, I don't know why more people don't save the money and hassle. For everything it's worth, Turbo Tax is a must have for any frugal or just plain out DIY type person.
What's great about it: Easy to use.
What's not so great: All the paperwork.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)
