Not Quite Excellant

Overall this is a great program for Fed and State, but Grand Rapids city does not work well. The walk me through method does not work with the city. It did not recognize my withholding even though it was on my W2 form
What's great about it: Works good or almost
What's not so great: The city tax forms did not work well

Since some of my 1099-Rs seemed to leave an awful lot blank and the blocks were questioned about, it would be nice for it to say somewhere that empty blocks were SOP much of the time ( for instance "taxable amount")
I was very pleased with the amount of time it took me to file- quite quickly.
What's great about it: made it easy for those befuddled
What's not so great: Would like some places tio be more reassuring about skipping

It seemed a little easier this year except the school district part was a little confusing. I wasn't sure if it filled out the paperwork or not and if I got a refund or owed until filing.
What's great about it: LIke to be able to import the previous and W-2 information
What's not so great: Didn't realize that it created my school district form, was a little confusing

I've become quite accustomed to the format and this year entering the data went really smooth and quick. Some of that is because of the updates in the Income section. That is a definite plus.
What's great about it: The transfer of data from last year, quite a time saver
What's not so great: I had no hiccups this year so nothing in the "Con" column.

PRINTING Forms

Have used TT for several years & for most part have been happy
with it.
But this year year when I wanted to print out copies of Fed. & State it did not work. It said " print & review" there was no option just to print. Had to "right click" on what I wanted to print & figure
out the # of pages I wanted.---very poor!

Gets better every year

Used TurboTax for many years, and it gets better to use every year. full 1040 tax return done in under an hour. It asks the right questions and retrieves W2s and prior information with ease
What's great about it: super fast, easy
What's not so great: a little expensive

Unbelieveably easy

Very easy to understand. Good explanations of items. I dread tax filing time but this was a snap.
