I have used Turbo tax for several years. I am pleased with their service.

Problems w/TurboTax this year

Problems with TurboTa screen freezing up when getting updates. Problems with my saved return that shows in my saved document folder, not being able to open it in Turbo Tax. This year it was very difficult to print just the forms I wanted printed.
What's not so great: Problems with my saved return not showing up, when I would try to open it.

Overall very good program used it for four years with only minor problem this, but resolved very quickly by your chat agent.

I feel like a fool

My husband and I are 58 yrs. old and have never once done our own taxes. Being that this year I am unemployed with ample time on my hands (it is either this or shoveling the ever amounting snow) I decided to give it a whirl. I was very anxious as I am neither a computer person, nor an accountant. This was so crazy simple I feel like a fool paying someone else to do this for us. I have talked to several friends about how easy this was, and my opinion carries a lot of weight as they know how technically challenged I am, and suggested they try it. I even tried to convince my 86 year old mother to try it. I am sold - so as long as my brain still knows my name and address, we'll be using Turbotax. Thank you.
What's great about it: crazy simple
What's not so great: so far - not a thing

Good Tax Prep but Validation Issues

After declaring both the Federal (electronic) and CO state (mail) returns error-free, the final check before release to electronic transmission would not "validate" to release the Federal return for transmission from 6pm MT of Feb 14 to 11;10 am PT on Feb 15. For this reason, I could not give a 5 star rating to this product.
What's great about it: Good solid tax prep software
What's not so great: After error-free, "validated" after multiple tries over a 16 hr period, then cofirmed accepted electronic transmission
