Pretty good, but not amazing

I've been a user of "the other guy's" tax software for the last 4 or 5 years, decided to give TurboTax a try this year. It was very thorough, and I liked the fact that you could get more information on topics - be they credits, deductions, IRAs whatever - on most every screen. I think the navigation was not very intuitive, often seemed that if I needed to edit something after the fact, I had to go through the whole process again (like importing a 1099). Maybe it was just my lack of familiarity with the program, but it seems like an area to be improved upon.
What's great about it: Very thorough, links to extra information
What's not so great: Navigation was clunky

We Like It!!!

Been using it for my daughters for several years. Works better than the competitors versions in my opinion....
What's great about it: It's easy!!!
What's not so great: I had a tad bit of trouble getting the state contact number changed.

Accurate, easy and quick

I like your product as I have used it for all my families returns.
What's great about it: The guided Q&A format and Forms Only format available in the same program.
What's not so great: It would be nice if Turbo Tax include the state versions for (2) states.

Success once again.

I've been using TT for well over 20 years and it has always served me well during that time. While I have probably had some small problems during that time, they were such small ones that I cannot at this time ever recall any. Our taxes are not very complex but they have involved moving expenses, rental properties, sale of rental properties, IRA contributions and MRDs, and fairly extensive charitable contributions over the years. All of these were handled with little or no stress to me thanks to TT. This year, thanks to early arrival of all necessary tax documents, I was able to file on the first available day and receive our refund in 12 days. By projecting our income for the following year, I am even able to get an idea of what our tax situation will be in the next year and make any adjustments to our tax withholdings so that we don't come up with any unwelcome "surprises" in the near future. From my experience with TT, I have no problem giving TT a high recommendation to anyone looking for help in doing their taxes in the future.
What's great about it: Easy to use, guides you through the otherwise complex process of doing your taxes.
What's not so great: None that I have noticed.

Bug in file by mail

I got stuck when ready to file my US and MN taxes by mail - the software requires me to enter a PIN but this is not needed for mail filings. See others have same issue. So I skipped the filing and printed for my own records --- guess one has to be smarter than the software.
What's great about it: Worked to prep filing
What's not so great: bug in file by mail routine
