Super Efficient and Speedy

I have been using TurboTax for 7 years. It is exceptionally easy to follow, completely thorough and if you have a question, the program answers it before you even ask a question! It also gives you suggestions based on your income, and if you're not sure of something, it states how common or uncommon a deduction may be, but also allows you to enter any deductions when in doubt with a thorough explanation if you do not qualify for a certain deduction. Turbo Tax also checks each of your entries every step of the way allowing you to make changes (edit) if and/or when necessary.
I take advantage of E-File in which your return is accepted by the State and Feds in minutes! I have received my refund in past years within 7 days!
What's great about it: It's simple to complete and leaves you with no doubts whatsoever!
What's not so great: Can't think of any!

Disappointing

Every year your program becomes more confusing. I realize that tax laws change every year, but the program either doesn't ask the right questions or makes them so confusing that I don't know how to answer them. I may try a different program next year.

Excellent software to do your taxes as long as you take the time to read each page, question, and prompt. This is my fifth years using and filling for myself and children.
What's great about it: Covers and retrieved data via Internet
What's not so great: Take tim an Read each page.

Why I waited so long to do my own

For years I had someone else do my returns and now I will never know why. You have made everything so easy and understandable and the ability to work on it the next day and continue where you left off is great and corrections are easy.
What's great about it: I like how I can go back.

Easy as usual

Worked well as usual for my relatively uncomplicated taxes. Just discovered I need a new heating system and was able to find the money for it by doing my taxes in two hours. E-file means that the money should be here by the time I have to pay for the furnace!

when you import last years it was hard to delete 1099 support doc...Sch C....
What's not so great: had problem with uploading from my broker...not sure which end the problem was on.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Love Turbo Tax

I love Turbo Tax. It makes me feel so much more comfortable about filing my own taxes. It is so flexible and allows me to complete a few sections at a time if I don't have all the forms that i need. When I hired someone to do my taxes several years ago, it took me more time and cost a lot more money. WIth Turbo Tax being so great, I won't ever look back!
