Calculations made easy

I am glad I used this in my initial attempt in e filing my taxes.
What's great about it: Caculations and percentages were done automatically, transfered to state form so no chance of mistake in entry.

2013 TurboTax

The application is easy to use. Overall, I would use it again and again. Draw backs, it didn't get latest updates when I first loaded it. I chose to do my state tax again using the state secure free filing site.
What's great about it: quick, easy with lots of helpful hints. Lots of help, only if you need it.
What's not so great: Shouldn't have to pay to file State Return.

A Great Program

I've been using Turbo Tax about as long as it was first introduced. It's a great way to do taxes without all the hand calculations and guess work. Sure beats the old method of going from one page to the other from the government booklets.
Keep up the good work!
What's not so great: Spent to much time thiinking of a nicknamee that has not already been taken.

Reliable refund

As a repeat user, I really like using Turbo Tax. I can get my taxes done quickly and feel very confident that all my potential tax issues are addressed. College tuition was MUCH easier this year (thank you!). I did not get the ads/reminders this year - usually I get a version in the mail and my email is inundated - one reminder would have been helpful; I was actually wondering if there was going to be a 2013 version!
What's great about it: easy to use, help and references were good
What's not so great: it's taxes! Availability seemed later
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Good program

Need to be more user friendly when discussing need of state forms. Turbo tax needs to "ask" what states the person needs to file in and let them make that decision. If more than one state comes up it should ask if this is correct and if not delete the states that are not needed.
What's great about it: question based is good
What's not so great: FAQ base is not helpful

My Refund

Turbotax this year was having transmission problems with efile. It was making me a little crazy cause it kept saying it couldn't file because of updates, but then when i checked for new updates there were none. Finally i rebooted and it went through, but it did frustrate me there for a while.
What's great about it: Easy to use
What's not so great: transmission problem

I wish I could easily pull up just a form--no smartsheets, etc. at all. It would also be good if the Refund/Amt. due screen showed on Forms.
You've got an error on lump-sum Soc. Security disability payments: Taxpayer can elect to treat them as an item in the year received, no matter if the payment is for previous years. Also, you ask user to enter ONE previous year. The lump payment might cover more than one.
One last thing: This year for the first time, we're doing separate returns. The starter process for doing so could be clearer...... But weaknesses are minor. TurboTax is great.
What's great about it: Almost everything; I've used it several years and will keep using it.
What's not so great: A request on Forms. A flub on disability
