Only way to go

I have been going to an accountant for years and 5 years ago I decided to "redo" the return with Turbo tax just to see. The result came out exactly the same but it costs a whole lot less to buy Turbo tax. The program is so easy to use and it covers every deductions possible. I have used Turbo tax ever since.
What's great about it: Very thorough and easy to use
What's not so great: None
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Fast and Too Easy

Filing this years taxes were made easy with Turbo Tax. I was able to get my bank interest statement information directly through Turbo Tax. Being Military and moving states/countries on a regular basis can make filing difficult, but the professionals at Intuit have developed a simple approach for all to complete their taxes fast and easy. Thank-you Turbo Tax for making the 2013 tax experience a positive one!

Doesn't seem as smart.....

One of the things that attracted me to Turbotax was that it transferred information from prior years......doesn't seem to remember a lot of things from past years, such as points paid on refi of home two years ago....and the "audit defense" offer just makes me worry about the quality of the service. Sorta like having to buy an extended warranty.....if the product won't do what it is supposed to do, should be purchasing something else!

Very hard to find and complete my own city forms, your only option is CCA I need Columbus
What's great about it: moved over all info
What's not so great: Turo tax will not allow you to pull the correct city forms to file

Easy Peasy

I've been using Turbo Tax since the mid 1980's. I got contacted by the IRS stating that I owed them an additional $1000 one year. After I contacted them and we went through the return step by step (I didn't over ride anything on the return#, the IRS apologized and stated they were wrong and my return was correct. I've been sold since then!!
Additionally, my dad was skeptical and had his business done by a professional #$$$). He took my advice, and also bought Turbo Tax. He compared his return from Turbo Tax and the "professional" return and the were identical. He never went to a "professional" again.

Easy to Use and Fast

the Deluxe version is great and very easy to use. it compares the previous year with the current year to make sure you didn't forget anything. only thing i couldn't find was where to record the info for form 8606 (non-deductible ira), even if there were no contributions this year. Will continue to buy this product.
What's great about it: Easy to use and very fast, keeps track of everything.
What's not so great: can't find where to carry over form 8606 info
