All it takes is patience

When you are not familiar with tax terms or the filing process it can be intimidating and a bit confusing, however, the intuit Turbo Tax program takes you through each step providing details and assistance through each section. Before using the program you may not be aware of what forms or documents you should have on hand but Turbo Tax reminds you or informs you of what forms are needed to successfully complete your return. I saved more money filing my own tax return with the assistance of Turbo Tax than paying a tax preparer
What's great about it: Very easy is use; step by step guide
What's not so great: understanding tax terms

Nightmare

Helping my granddaughters file first time.
Rejected, said i needed a pin or 0 AGI.
no place on form for AGI, Turbo Tax indicated it provides.
acquired pin from tel number, rejected.
verified pin via website, resent, rejected.
Called IRS. they say can't help, must be software.
read all help stuff, resubmitted just now, I found a place to put a 0 in AGI although I don't think that transmits.

Easy to use, wish all the fees were disclosed

I have no problem with the final price but it felt like I was being nickel and dimed as I progressed.
What's great about it: easy to use, helpful, simple
What's not so great: fees, hidden fees, be upfront with the fees

I LOVE IT!

We have been using Turbo Tax for over 10 years now and it is easy to use. We are confident our taxes are accurate. We have never had a problem with the program or the IRS. Even when I had to file an amended return Turbo Tax walked me through the steps and it went great! I We will use this program till there are no more taxes or until we're dead whichever comes first! LOL
What's great about it: Very easy to use
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

Quick and Easy

What you see is what you get. If you have a fairly straight forward return with itemized deducts, interest, dividends, and capital gains/losses this software works great.
What's great about it: Organize and Informative
What's not so great: None Noted

I'm Very Comfortable With TurboTax

I've been using TurboTax for as long as it has been available, and based on their track record, I expect to continue using it. I'm a married father of four with two in college, and two to go. TurboTax guides me through all sorts of deductions, education-related credits, retirement fund deductions and income sources. I've gotten pretty used to it over the years, so the bulk of the work is me gathering up the required documents. The e-file option also gets the refund (if I'm getting one) back to me pretty quickly. We don't have any unusual situations, so I don't think we challenge TurboTax with getting into the dark corners of the tax code but for our situation it has been great.
What's great about it: Comparison of this year vs last year by section. E-filing. Ability to use interview format or actual form view.
What's not so great: Too many promo communications: email, US mail, email, US mail, etc.

When I had a problem e-filing my state a problem came up. I wish the program would have taken me to the page in question.

Confusing instructions

The instructions for state were very confusing as to how to do it without e-filing-
It said "one free state return included. I hope that I will be able to complete my family members state.
