Great program for all levels

Easy to use, does all the work for you. Try it once and you will be a Turbo Tax Fan
What's great about it: ease of use and explanations/help that is great
What's not so great: none for a non tax expert

Turbo Tax allows me to do my own taxes. Otherwise I would need to go to a person and share my info with them.

Always easy to do, but I find out later from friends of deductions that weren't mentioned in the program.

Easy Turbo

My young niece is doing her own taxes for the 1st time. I gave her rave reviews for Turbo Tax. I've been using it for 7 or 8 years. It really is easy. And each subsequent year gets easier.
This year there was improvement made to import my W-2; but that still fell short. It could have been my employer's site, however.

What's great about it: Same format year to year; Turbo guided or self guided
What's not so great: When returning (after closing) it doesn't quite remember where I left off; but it's very easy to find where you stopped.

more bumpy than previous versions

The interface is less intuitive than previous versions of TurboTax. Especially irritating were the repetitive screens in the interview process. Also, the page size was slightly too large (most of the time) to be able to click on the "continue" button. Usually there was empty space above the button, so the page was needlessly long.
I like how quickly the program identifies and helps fix errors in the return. The finishing and filing process were faster than before, which is great.
What's great about it: Quick review and file process
What's not so great: Slow data entry and navigation
