easy enough

Need to have at least 1 free state return. I was under the impression that 1 free state return was included yet I was charged for the state and it's the only one that I used it on.

Only use Turbo Tax for my taxes

I love Turbo tax. I get to do my taxes in my PJs and it walks me through everything. I get the most money possible and don't have to wait for an accountant to get around to helping me.
What's great about it: easy to use!
What's not so great: haven't found any
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

I've used TurboTax every year since 1987 and I've never had a problem or question I couldn't solve using the product. TurboTax makes tax preparation very easy and allows me to work on my return over an extended period of time without getting confused about what's done and what remains to be done.
I love not having to print anything: I file both federal and state electronically and keep my "print" copies as PDF files (securely backed up onsite and in the cloud, of course.)
The one improvement I'd make is to have the system automatically create an appropriately named back-up file when the user starts an Amended Return. You can do this manually, but having the system do it would avoid problems.
What's great about it: Does it all, however you want it done.
What's not so great: No automatic backup.

Updates

Sent updates after return was complete. Email submission required that I install updates. No way to get from EFile page back to opening page to install useless updates. Had to close Turbo Tax and then open it again. Slow program load. Slow return load. I have been using Turbo tax since it was the new kid on the block. First complaint I've ever had. My return was complex years ago. My return is simple now. First time I've had a complaint.
I have kids all adults and living on their own now. I have grandchildren and great-grand children. What is your definition of kids?
For several years I volunteered with AARP Tax Aide.
I have been retired from the AF for 30+ years and completely retired for about 16 years. While teaching at the AF Academy I completed federal returns for cadets and many different state returns. My nick name at the Aacademy during tax season was H&R Black.
Choosing a nickname is laughable. First one too short. Second one already in use. Third one I used spaces. You make it difficult to even submit a review.
What's not so great: Required updates after completion of return

We use it because it is easy, it works, and we have yet to have any IRS issues after 10+ years with Turbo Tax.
What's great about it: After 10+ Years, the semaless year to year data transfers

Wonderful program and easy to use. We will never pay a tax person to do our taxes again.
What's great about it: Very easy to use and makes you feel confident it was done right.
What's not so great: Didn't like the government didn't have the sales tax program done.
