The Best Tax Product Ever!!!

I have used Turbo Tax products over 10 years and I don't know what I would do without this software.
Thank you.
What's great about it: Easy, simple interactive tax software tool. Amateurs will find doing taxes can be done with less stress and no fear.
What's not so great: Processing E Refund Fees. These could be more affordable.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Easy To Do

Minimum effort to figure out what information was being asked for. Once entered all calculations were performed by the software. Reviews were easy and automated.
What's great about it: Performed all calculations quickly and accurately
What's not so great: Needd better explanations in many areas. We are not professional tax people.

I've always trusted TurboTax, and can't even recall how many years I've been using it. Top notch, to be sure! Each and every year, I am very impressed with the attention to every detail.
I am a retired accountant, and as part of a public accounting firm, I formerly prepared complex tax returns for clients.This was before the computer technology we now all enjoy and appreciate.
I have forgotten many details of the tax code since I've retired. I rely on TurboTax to stay on top of it all, and they certainly fufill their promise!

Turbo Tax Rocks

I have been using Turbo Tax since 2005. The software is user friendly, and all my refunds are guaranteed. The software is worth an investment, it retrieves all of prior year tax information. Buy it now!
What's great about it: Very intuitive and user friendly!

quick and easy

easy to install and use
only hassle is when your w-2s are not able to be imported so that you have to type in all that information. easy to finalize, file and pay any extra fees
Love the option of Audit Defense, never have to worry about the cost or time of an audit

I have been using tax software 20 plus years. This product delivers everything I have ever needed. I used it a few years with some rentals as well. It is quite user friendly and I have no problem finding specific areas or forms.
I do not like the first screen being a nag screen. You are forced to push an extra button every time the program is accessed. If not for the nag screen I probably would have given TurboTax five stars. Pricing is unclear whether online, or in-store, is the best deal. E-file is expensive. Finally, the help is sometimes pretty vague although I do understand there is a LOT to tax code.
What's great about it: Walk me through, let me pick where to go, easier to navigate than previously, pretty solid program, community help.
What's not so great: Help sometimes vague, opening nag screen, expensive.

So Easy

Now that I am retired I no longer have "big bucks" either with regard to my income or to paying a large amount for my taxes to be prepared. My son talked to me about TurboTax which he has used the past few years and he insured me that I would be able to do my own taxes at a very reasonable cost. This is my second year of filing on my own and for the most part I understand all the instructions given as I prepare the forms. Last year I did have to telephone the "help" number and the individual I spoke with didn't end our conversation until she was absolutely certain that I understood the section in question. I have recommended TurboTax to several of my retired friends and they agree with me as to you making it relatively easy for us to now file our own tax returns.
What's great about it: Fairly easy to follow all steps to conclusion/filing.
What's not so great: A few of the explanations were hard for me to comprehend.
