Easy, Accurate Year After Year

We have used TurboTax for 5 years and are impressed by how easy it is to follow their suggestions. I am confident that our returns are accurate, well-documented and the yearly transfer saves a lot of time. Highly recommended!
What's great about it: If you have all your documents ready, it is SO EASY to follow the instructions as TurboTax guides you through

Poor Product

This will be the last time I use Turbo Tax I had a problem with my state taxes and turbo tax was no help in fixing errors. I printed out forms and boxes were not checked that were checked in step by step process. I believe there is a glitch in the program. I paid twenty dollars to efile and was rejected 5 times so now I have mail in return and fix the forms myself.
What's great about it: none

More Thorough Than Individual Tax Preparer

I have used turbo tax for a number of years now and love the convenience, user friendliness and accuracy. I have found turbo tax to be more thorough than many in-person tax preparers that I have used in the past. The program walks you through every facet of preparing and filing your returns and takes all of the guess work out of it. I feel confident that I am aware of all the important issues in preparation and I get my questions answered with Turbo Tax. I highly recommend it.
What's great about it: Ease of Use, Convenient, Great Price

Good and Easy Return

I have used Turbo Tax for the past few years and I love it. Why go to a broker who is going to charge you and extra fee when you can do them yourself. I have a lot of information that gets entered each year and I am able to do so with ease. I will use again next year.
What's great about it: User friendly, great guide.
What's not so great: none
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I bought or sold investments

Gets the job done but tired of the advertising

I use TurboTax every year so I'm very familiar with the product. I own one home and have another rental property. I have investment income, dividends and capital gains. I generally use Turbo Tax Basic since I'm military and don't need to file a state return. Please stop the constant requests to upgrade to a higher cost product -- you can assume that I brought the correct product version. You don't need to continually ask me to upgrade. It's annoying. I also dislike the push for audit protection and offers for other unneeded products. Delete these annoying features and you'll get 5-stars.
What's great about it: Ease of use
What's not so great: Stop the product advertising

Quick, accurate and easy as always!

I have been using Intuit TurboTax software for many years now. It is the only tax preparation software I trust. The interface is simple and the "Guide Me" tools are easy to use for beginners. Conveniently, the software also offers more complex features for tax experts who want to navigate their returns manually.
This year was the first year that I encountered a problem when using TurboTax. In the 2012 tax year, I had a unique circumstance where I earned Schedule C income. As I did not earn this income again in 2013, when I was importing data from my 2012 return I chose to remove that income item. TurboTax notified me that it was unable to do so. Odd, right? Luckily, when the software performed an error check, it reminded me that the Schedule C income from 2012 was still there. It was easy enough to locate the form and delete it manually.
Even though I encountered this one issue, I still suggest TurboTax for anyone that hasn't tried using electronic tax preparation software!
What's great about it: The "Guide Me" tools make catching uncommon financial situations a snap.
What's not so great: A Schedule C income from 2012 was not able to be removed automatically, and had to be done manually.

Four years and I'm a happy girl.

Over the last four years I have used Turbo Tax to file our tax returns. As we are retired, our income varies and the sources of our income varies. Turbo Tax has made putting all these things together easy for me. I have also used it to estimate
how much to withhold from distributions so there are no surprises at the end of the year. Great asset to have at my disposal.

What's great about it: Easy to use and understand. Great source of information.
What's not so great: Small problem with State forms, just had to wait for update.

TurboTax Review

I've used TurboTax for the past 11 years. It is quick, easy, has good interface capability with other programs, and answers all the questions. It's nice being able to complete a tax return on my time schedule rather than sitting in a tax preparer's office and realizing you didn't bring all the info you needed.
What's great about it: extremely easy to understand and use
