Should be able to buy protection and state filing costs at one time instead of having to purchase them on separate screens
What's great about it: fast and quick
What's not so great: multiple charges
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

Some descriptions are hard to understand and I have to read them a couple of times to understand them. I love the way you can look up things in the Turbo Tax Community.

I've used TurboTax for the past 4 yrs. and it has always been less of a chore than when I would do it without any help. It is fast and simple to follow the instructions. I will probably continue to use TurboTax for many yrs. to come.
What's great about it: Following the instructions were simple. I trust that the calculations are correct.
What's not so great: Sometimes I dont understand how the forms are all filled out with the information that I give, but I trust them.

Filing problems

I have used TurboTax for many years (around 20, I think) and have always loved it. Not this year. I filed my taxes with no problems. I then tried to do my grandsons (I raised him and he is now in the Army). I completed everything, including paying for the electronic filing. I was told (on screen) that I needed an update to file. I followed their directions to get the update and was informed that I had all updates. I fell into a catch-22 and could not file electronically (even though I paid for it). I will now have to file his taxes by snail mail and wait 4-6 weeks for the refund. I guess I'll have to appeal my credit card charges.
What's great about it: Actually filling out forms was great.
What's not so great: Would not let me file electronically and could not get answer as to why.

Turbo Tax 2013 tax year experience

It was as usual a good experience except for have to claim a 1099 Misc. for airline flight benefits, which seems to be an issue every year for me.
What's great about it: Great easy method of filing.
What's not so great: Always have issues with my 1099 MISC

Always easy to use - almost too helpful sometimes but you can bypass unwanted stuff

Help not very good!

I made a mistake on an address but couldn't get back to it. I tried Help (including on line) but it said nothing. Eventually, I figured out how to fix it. You need to beef up your help to tell people how to change data like this on forms.
What's great about it: Worked great unless I made a typo.
What's not so great: Help did not tell how to fix typo.
