State Rejected

The state submittal was rejected, apparently because of some form error on the part of turbo tax. This is disappointing and should not happen. When I went in to correct the state, it just said to run an update and resubmit. I couldn't see any change and your help answers did not clarify where I should look for changes. I am disappointed and am not sure if I will get another rejection from the state.

2013 review (boring title i know)

I'll give it a 97 out of 100 this year. Only because I had a rollover distribution to enter and it seemed somewhat difficult to follow. The follow up questions could have used a little more detail i thought. I put some of the blame on myself too for perhaps not knowing the proper terminology.
Other than that, VERY, VERY easy to navigate and follow. I especially love the comparisons with last year's values as you finish each section. It’s sort of a “check” for me as I go through the entries to insure I’m picking up everything I should be.
I will definitely use and recommend TurboTax.
What's great about it: Very easy to follow
What's not so great: a hard time entering a rollover distribution

My First Tax Filing

I am a pretty big fan of Turbo Tax; I have fairly complicated taxes which have always been done in conjunction with several partners; this year I did my part alone, with the help of TurboTax.
Good Choice.
It took less than a day to finish, even with questions and issues I caused for myself from ignorance.
Great job, and well constructed.
What's great about it: Quick, streamlined, simple.
What's not so great: Fields often didn't remain populated if I went back to look at them after filling them out.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion), I moved

really helped with the sale of stocks and the comparison of itemized deductions versus standard deductions. I will return next year to use turbo tax...a good experience!

What's great about it: I like that Turbo tax uploads previous years for me and walks me through the process
What's not so great: I am happy with this product and really don't dislike anything

Well worth the investment

We have been using TurboTax for years. We trust them to take care of our tax needs. We used to use a well known (and considerably more expensive) service for our taxes. While they did a fine job We hated paying the large fees that they would ask to enter numbers (the same numbers that we enter) into a different tax program on a computer.
One day after a friend told me he used TurboTax, I decided I would buy it and compare the 2 returns. I actually found that had I used TurboTax that year we would have gotten a bigger return. Not a huge amount but enough to get our attention.
We have been using it every since, and have not regretted it even one time. Now we do our taxes at our convenience, in the privacy of our own home, (which means we are not sitting in a large room with strangers listening to us talk about our personal finances) AND we save money ...

What's great about it: Simple, Trustworthy, Fast, Private, No Appointment needed and less expensive.
