Like Tax Returns for Dummies

It quite easy to use but you do have to pay attention to what it's doing. Last year I ran across a couple of glitches that really cost me time, money & aggravation with the IRS. Only problem this year was it wouldn't let me file when I was ready. It said some of the forms were not available yet, which makes me worry about how accurate my return is then. ?????????
What's great about it: It's very easy.
What's not so great: Have run across glitches in the software a couple of times.
Pros: My job status changed this year (switched jobs, lost a job, got a raise or promotion)

We've been using this software for several years. The process is relatively easy and painless. Since we are "Bailey Settlement" eligible the form takes very little time to fill out. We found the North Carolina portion a bit confusing but got through it okay. The embedded little phrases during startup like "okay we know it's taking longer that expected" are really not necessary. A simple little clock symbol would do just as well.
What's great about it: Relatively easy to follow and complete
What's not so great: State portion somewhat confusing

Quick Tax

Too many income and deduction items that can't be bypassed easily. Should have way to use the guided process with a "skip" option for data that is not applicable. Like that all the previous year personal information is retained and repopulates forms.
What's great about it: Easy to enter data
What's not so great: Difficult to skip or override not applicable steps

TurboTax a little more frustrating this year

This year there were a few glitches which slowed me down from finishing and filing my return. In the end, it was fixed and I was able to efile, however the process was a little more frustrating than usual! But all in all, I am still a faithful fan of TurboTax and will continue to use year after year.
